Important Safety Instructions

Save These Instructions

This manual contains crucial instructions to be followed during equipment installation and maintenance. Please read these instructions before starting operations and keep this manual properly for future reference.

DANGER

This equipment carries lethal voltage. All maintenance and services must be performed only by authorized maintenance personnel. There are no user-serviceable components inside the equipment.

WARNING

  • The equipment output terminal is externally connected to the battery. Even when the equipment is disconnected from the AC power source, the output terminal may still carry dangerous voltage.

  • To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, install the equipment in a controlled indoor environment with adjustable temperature and humidity. Ensure there are no conductive impurities in the room, and the ambient temperature must not exceed 45°C (113°F). Do not operate the equipment near water or in places with excessively high humidity (maximum 85%, no water condensation). This system is not suitable for outdoor use.

  • Ensure all power sources (including the output terminal) are disconnected before installation or maintenance.

  • When adding a hardware module to the chassis, be sure to connect the communication cable of the equipment first, and then connect the power supply. When removing a hardware module from the chassis, be sure to disconnect the power cable of the equipment first, and then disconnect the connected communication cable.

  • If the power supply is damaged, do not attempt to repair it yourself. To avoid danger, it must be repaired by the manufacturer, its maintenance department, or similar specialized personnel.

  • Batteries may cause electric shock or burn due to short-circuit current. The following preventive measures should be implemented: 1) Remove watches, rings, or other metal objects; 2) Use tools with insulated handles; 3) Do not place tools or metal parts on the battery; 4) Wear rubber outer sleeves and rubber gloves.

CAUTION

  • Isolate people from the battery testing environment to avoid injuries to the human body caused by abnormal battery conditions, explosions, or fires.

  • The equipment placement space and the battery testing space should be environmentally isolated to ensure a good testing environment.

  • The environment of the battery testing space must meet fire protection requirements and be equipped with fire protection equipment, such as smoke alarms, electrical fire extinguishers, sandboxes, high-temperature asbestos gloves, asbestos blankets, and flat light protective goggles.

  • Battery installation or maintenance should be performed by qualified maintenance personnel with extensive knowledge of batteries and necessary preventive measures. Any unauthorized personnel should stay away from the battery. Carefully consider all instructions in the warnings, cautions, and instructions before installing or replacing the battery.

  • When installing/removing the battery, wear protective gloves and use special insulated tools to avoid battery short circuits and injuries to the human body.

  • Establish good security measures. Based on the laboratory duty roster, ensure that there is a dedicated person on duty during battery testing to prevent accidents.

  • The computer dedicated to battery testing is prohibited from other uses. Only install the software required for testing to ensure the stable operation of the computer and the stability of the battery testing work.

  • Keep the equipment door closed to protect operators from the dangerous voltage inside the equipment.

  • Do not operate the equipment near gas or electric heat sources.

  • The operating environment should be maintained within the parameters specified in this manual.

  • The external environment should be kept tidy, clean, and not excessively humid.

  • Comply with all “DANGER”, “CAUTION”, and “INSTRUCTION” warnings attached inside and outside the equipment.
